I couldn't wait to build this kit again as an adult. I loved this kit when I was a kid! I always thought it was the scariest of all the monster models. The most hideous feature of this model (that freaked me out as a kid) is the rotting prisoner impounded in the cellar behind the Phantom. The creeping flesh, the bulging eyes – ewww, yuck! I really like the Phantom's pose and the face sculpt. Wasn't sure what direction to go with the flesh color. Ended up making his hands a different color than his face. It was his face he was hiding afterall. Sometimes I display him with his mask on (I didn't glue it to his hand). When I was a bone-headed teenager, this model ended up target practice for my friends and our BB-guns. *sniff*
