I couldn't wait to build this kit again (except that I hated painting black styrene). I always loved this kit when I was a kid! I thought it was the scariest of all the monster models. The hideous feature of this model is the prisoner in the cellar behind the Phantom (the bloody rotten flesh – the bulging eyes – very creepy). I also like the Phantom's pose and the face sculpt. Wasn't sure what direction to go with the flesh color. Ended up making his hands a different color than his face. It was his face he was hiding afterall. Sometimes I display him with his mask on (I didn't glue it to his hand). When I was a young teenager, this model ended up target practice for my friends and our BB-guns. *sniff*
