I always wanted a toy guillotine! In fact, I built a small one out of wood in 8th-grade shop class. And yes, I was a normal kid. Anyway, I never built this particular model when I was young, but my inner-child sure had fun building this as an adult. Nice, manageable kit to build. Lots of moving parts (that actually move). Unfortunately, no wood grain was sculpted into this model. I read about lots of ways to apply one, but honestly, the easiest way to execute it is to paint the base coat brown, draw the wood grain on with colored pencils, and seal it with clear flat enamel. I actually got his head to fall off when the blade falls. I put 5 small BB's into the blade casing to give it weight.
